Isabel Warrington
Biography
Isabel Warrington is one of the leading actors in Maltese theatre, with a career spanning 25 years during which she played a wide range of characters. Some of the most notable were the main characters in shows such as Willy Russell’s Shirley Valentine and Mrs Birling in An Inspector Calls, among others. Musical parts include; Tanya in Mamma Mia, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, The Witch in Into The Woods, and many others. Isabel is an artist whose work is heavily influenced by theatre, especially comedy. Much of her recent work is illustration and caricature. She also added costume design to her repertoire—in 2015 she designed the costumes for the operas L’Elisir d’Amore, and Romeo and Juliet. She was the costume designer for the pantos, Treasure Island, Cinderella, and Jack and the Beanstalk, all staged at MFCC.
