Miguel Formosa
Biography
Graduated in Theatre & Communications at the University of Malta, and his interests vary from theatre to cinema. In 2021 he was selected for the Artivisti programme, which culminated in a devised theater production titled, ‘KomduSkomdu’ directed by Lee-N Abela and written by them both which was also reproduced and restaged for a different space at Junior College in 2023. He was hand picked to perform in the Spazju Kreattiv’s production ‘Ġiraffa Ħarbet Minn Kastilja’ directed by Daniel Azzopardi and Tyrone Grima’s ‘Għanqbut f’Moħħha’, which was recently staged at the VCT.
Along with other diverse performances and productions along the year, one of his highlights is producing, along with three other artists, a contemporary rendition of Greek Tragedy titled ‘Xi Traġedja’ written by Jacob Piccinino and directed by Lee-N Abela and performed at Cafe Riche at Birgu which was nominated for the best production 2023 at the Malta Arts Award.
