JOIN MALTA’S NATIONAL THEATRE COMPANY OF ACTORS

Teatru Malta’s first-ever hybrid ensemble has had a stormer of a debut: from the interactive family hit MITI MITI at ŻiguŻajg to the immersive game world of 1881, from the raw intimacy of Repubblikgħana and OĦXON touring classrooms, to the national-scale venues Boċċi, il-Musical and Il-Ġaħan the Ensemble has proven that theatre in Malta can be bold, agile, and rooted in its people. We’re keeping the momentum, and we’re opening auditions for new ensemble members.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong performance skills and collaborative practice.
• Hybrid talents beyond acting (e.g. writing, devising, movement, music, vocal work, education, producing, production management, translation, movement direction, musical direction, content creation, technical or design).
• Bilingual (Maltese & English) communication.
• Enthusiasm for touring, education, and community-based theatre.

AUDITIONS – NOVEMBER 2025

• Phase 1: Group warm-up, improvisation, and short movement call.
• Phase 2: A 2 to 5 minute prepared piece (text, song, movement, or a combination) followed by an interview.
• Phase 3: Recalls/Final Audition: A session with the current ensemble at the Teatru Malta rehearsal space (details provided upon confirmation).

Start date: January 2026
