Zoe Camilleri
Biography
Zoe Camilleri is a Maltese- based freelance artist and dancer. In 2011 she went into full- time training at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London. After graduating she returned to her home island to join the first ensemble of dancers of ŻfinMalta, first as an apprentice and for the next three years as a full-time dancer. She has worked with choreographers such as Iván Pérez, Jose Agudo, Athanasia Kanellopoulou, Mavin Khoo, Francesca Tranter, Lucia Piquero, Paolo Mangiola amongst many others. As a freelancer, she has performed in various projects both locally and internationally, while teaching dance in places including the University of Malta and ŻfinMalta. She has also been experimenting with choreography and has since been commissioned to choreograph for ŻfinMalta and the Malta Arts Festival. Alongside her dancing career, Zoe is also part of the world of sewing and garment making. She owns a slow fashion, small business called Zowij.Makes, where she creates custom made clothing out of vintage and pre-loved fabrics.
