Teatru Malta Gathers Nine Nominations for Premju Għall-Arti
Highest number of nominations for one organisation!
Nominations for this year’s Premju Għall-Arti are out and we couldn’t be more chuffed! With a grand total of nine nominations for last year’s productions, Teatru Malta is officially the organisation with the most nominations. We literally feel we are floating on Cloud NINE!
A massive well done to all the artists and the crew that worked so hard on the nominated productions. We are thrilled to see you receive all the dues that you deserve!
Without more ado, a list of the productions that are nominated:
1) Best production: VII (Sette), composed and directed by The New Victorians.
2) Best Programme/ Artistic Season: Teatru Malta 2018/2019 Season.
3) Best Production for Children & Young People: Trikki Trakki (Youth Theatre Festival) under the artistic direction of Antonella Axisa.
4) Best Community Project: The Cospicua Short Play Festival. A Local Council project in collaboration with Teatru Malta under the artistic direction of Joseph Galea.
5) Best Community Project: Nassaba Song of a Bird, written by Jimmy Grima, Michael Grima, Joachim Robbrecht. Lead artist – Jimmy Grima.
6) Best Community Project: Gawgaw: A Panto in the Dark. Written and directed by
Marta Vella & Vikesh Godhwani.
7) Innovation Award: VII (Sette), composed and directed by The New Victorians.
8)Most Innovative project: Gawgaw: A Panto in the Dark. Directed by
Marta Vella & Vikesh Godhwani.
9) People’s Choice: VII (Sette) composed and directed by The New Victorians.
