TRIKKI TRAKKI: THE THEATRE FESTIVAL FOR YOUTHS

The eighth edition of Trikki Trakki is here, Malta’s only youth theatre festival by young people for young people!

For the first time ever, Trikki Trakki has a theme: Victorian Gothic Horror. Expect spine-tingling adaptations of classics such as Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Goblin Market, The Tell-Tale Heart, and The Shadow Over Innsmouth. This exciting new layer of storytelling to the festival will feature everything from puppetry to fresh new music, underwater creatures, and creepy shenanigans that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Adding to the excitement, this year’s festival will open with a performance by our very own Truppa, under the leadership of Jean-Marc Cafà and mentored by our ensemble members, especially Rebecca, Philip and Chris Scicluna, marking the first time they’ll take to the stage! The Troupe have been meeting on a weekly basis since October, and they can’t wait to share their work with you all.
