L-Avviżi – September 2021

As autumn approaches, work on our new programme continues to intensify with the intention of premiering our very first production in just a few weeks. Sounds like news to you? Well, that’s because it is. You’ll just have to sit back and watch the rehearsal footage from our other shows unfold on social media for the time being as we continue to roll out some special behind the scenes from The Manwel Dimech Project, Nouveau Riche and Il-Qtates ta’ max-Xatt

Il-Klassi tas-Surmast is also back this September as Cheek by Jowl are… almost finally here and set to carry out their workshop intensive with us and their participants in just a number of weeks! We’re not going to lie, the contents of this workshop are a little top secret so we’re limited to just how much we can let you know about what’s about to go on. But stay tuned to our socials for any authorised content that may be coming your way.

It’s also proverbially time to turn new leaves and we aren’t just saying that because autumn is approaching. We’ve just launched an expression of interest for an Administration Officer on a full time basis for the next three years. If you’ve got a mind for admin work and are passionate about theatre and all the work we do here at Teatru Malta, then make sure to apply by no later than the 17th of September. If administration really isn’t your cup of tea, then you should know that we’re also keeping a look out for production managers as we’ll be needing a number of them over the next few months. If you’re interested let us know you’re out there and drop us a covering letter and CV by sending an email to contact@teatrumalta.org.mt or sending us a private message on Facebook.

Teatru Redifjuxin is also back with a brand new episode at the end of September. Who our fourth guest will be is something we’re keeping to ourselves for now; however, we can tell you that this person will be an integral part of one of our latest projects: Kazin Sittin+ which we introduced to you last month. This call for participants is intended for older adults who are interested in learning more about theatre. This project will be fun and full of theatre games, improvisations, movement and singing, all taking place in a creative space which will be shared and enjoyed with like-minded persons from different walks of life. This is the perfect way to make new acquaintances and learn new skills in theatre while you’re at it! If you’re interested in forming part of this community, then take note because we’ll be launching this call this week on the 8th of September!
