The San Ġorg Preca Project is a school-based, site-specific project initiated by Teatru Malta and Image Aiguë in collaboration with Valletta 2018, The French Embassy and ŻiguŻajg requiring the involvement of students from San Ġorġ Preca College, on school grounds, whereby specifically-devised dramatic arts workshops would initiate creative stimulation, conversation and interest for students to integrate with their fellow classmates through innovative means. This will all be done through a carefully curated pastiche of music, text and image, all tried and tested by renowned French Theatre group Image Aiguë who have held such workshops at various schools all over the world, all with great success. The initiative will challenge students to think outside of their comfort zone, share, question, develop and ultimately create something we can all, holistically as a community, find newfound value and meaning in.
“Secondary school isn’t always fun. We want to help out and seek ways to make Theatre the solution, to help students come together through arts.”
