COLIN – A STROKE OF BAD LUCK
Colin was the high commissioner of Australia in Malta. He came for work, fell in love, left his job and stayed on to continue his life passion, theatre. Mr Willis became a mainstay in local theatre productions. Colin – A stroke of bad luck is also a biographical piece based on the life of Colin Willis, who suffered a stroke some years ago, after relocating to Malta. This project is a very personal and intimate monologue. It delves into the day-to-day trials and tribulations faced by the ailing, as seen through the eyes of Colin himself and those closest to him, particularly his partner, seasoned director and actress Nanette Brimmer. Colin – A stroke of bad luck is established theatre director and former Associate Director of the National Theatre of Scotland, Simon Sharkey’s debut in Malta as co-writer to Nanette Brimmer and director of the show.
This is theatre at its most honest & intimate.
