Cast Announced for IS-SERRA!

An exciting cast was announced today for Is-Serra, Teatru Malta’s production set to premiere in April on the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th of April!  

The Hothouse, penned by world renowned  contemporary playwright Harold Pinter with a superb translation by Simone Spiteri, Is-Serra will be directed with Teatru Malta’s young director for 2018, Andre’ Agius. This project is also part of Teatru Malta’s long term initiative towards translating and publishing a modern classic a year, this year we’ve chosen to focus on Pinter in commemoration of his 10th year anniversary of death.

Local favourite Victor Debono, needs very little introductions and will take on the lead role of Roote, the mental institutions undermined and disrespected director whose lost control of himself and the very institute he represents. Other lead roles, Gibbs, the ambitious and overachieving employee will be played by Mark Mifsud while Maria Buckle will take on the challenging role of the very shrewd Miss Cutts. The cast features a number of theatre favourites like Joe Depasquale, Anthony Ellul, Benjamin Abela and Kurt Castillo.
