Rebecca Camilleri
Biography
Rebecca Camilleri is a Maltese actress, theatre-maker, writer, and drama educator who has worked in theatre, commercial, and film throughout the years. She has trained with multiple theatre practitioners both locally and abroad, and, in 2018, went on to graduate from ArtsEd, London, with a Masters in Acting.
Some of her credits include: Twelfth Night, A Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Romeo & Juliet with WhatsTheirNames Theatre, Sette (VII) with the New Victorians, Romeo & Juliet/Macbeth school’s tour with the Guildford Shakespeare Company, Sunrise with FM Theatre, The Taming of the Shrew (MADC), Coelacanth with Moonchild theatre, and others.
She most recently wrote and directed Jimmy and the Apocalypse by Studio 18 for Esplora’s Summer Science Festival – Esperimenta Tikka Xjenza, directed Meet John Boyne – Striped Pyjamas for ŻiguŻajg Festival and the Malta Book Festival, and portrayed the role of Kattrin in Ma Kurraġġ with Teatru Malta.
