Gianluca Cilia
Biography
Gianluca Cilia (b.2007 and). rom a very tender age that Gianluca showed a passion for singing. He showed a real interest at the age of 6, when he started singing and music theory lessons. Gianluca started participating in various local festivals where he has always beenpraised and encouraged to keep on nourishing his talent. In 2016 he won the Overall Grand Prix of the First International Arpeggio Festival organised by Erseb Productions. In 2017, Gianluca won the Maltese national selection for Junior Eurovision and represented Malta in Tbilisi, Georgia, with ‘Dawra Tond’.In 2018, Gianluca participated in Għanja tal-Poplu Żgħażagħ with his entry ‘Ħaġar Qim’. Thanks to this, Gianluca got an opportunity to travel all the way to London to study musical theatre on the West End. Gianluca was part of the original production of Matilda that was meant to take place locally before the pandemic hit. Il-Qfil u l-Ħelsien Skont Manwel Dimech will mark his return to the stage he truly lovesApart from singing and theatre, Gianluca is also an aspiring pianist and works hard to continue nurturing his passion for Performing Arts.
